We always stress the importance of feedback from the Gift Your Gear groups. We use the feedback to ensure the donated outdoor gear gets to the groups that need it most. We are please to share news from Queen Elizabeth Academy from Bailey Y9 who took the trouble to send us this feedback.
Thank you Bailey
THE CLOTHES WE GOT DONATED HAVE HELPED ME AND MY FRIENDS DISCOVER AND EXLPLORE NEW PLACES IN SAFETY AND COMFORT.
WE HAVE BEEN TO SO MANY PLACES SUCH AS KINDER SCOUT, MAM TORR, BARROW, DOVEDAL AND MATLOCK, AND THE EQUIPMENT IS GREAT IT HAS KEPT ME WARM IN ALL CONDITIONS AND I LOOK COOL, ESPECIALLY IN MY YELLOW HAT.
WE LOVE OUR KIT AND IT HAS NOW ENCOURAGED ME TO TAKE WALKING AND EXPLORE THE PEAKS.
THANK YOU BAILEYY9 QUEEN ELIZABETH ACADEMY
Also some feedback from Jason Inclusion Coordinator Queen Elizabeth’s Academy
The kit we have had in the past has served Queen Elizabeth Academy well kitting out lots of disadvantage students enabling them to take part in the schools Enrichment programme and completing the Jon Muir Award. The kit ensured that the students were dry in the wet and warm in the cold thus enabling them to get the best out of exploring the Peaks.
